Berkman Forwarding is a family business with roots dating back to 1903, when Johannes Berkman founded a small coal trading company. This business evolved into Vobex, an international freight forwarder, in 1976, and later took on the name Berkman Forwarding, which we have been known by since 1988.
For more than a century, we’ve grown into a trusted global logistics provider, guided by strong family values and an ambitious spirit of innovation.
From our headquarters in Barendrecht, the Netherlands, and our offices in Vietnam, China, and India, we deliver worldwide transport, storage, and distribution services. We also support our clients with customs handling, transport insurance, and claims management, offering a truly comprehensive logistics solution.

Since 2009, Berkman Forwarding has been an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO). This certification proves our compliance with customs and tax regulations, financial reliability, professional competence, and strict safety and security standards.
As an AEO-certified forwarder, we work closely with customs authorities to safeguard the supply chain while streamlining processes. The result? Faster handling, fewer delays, and smoother logistics across the European Union, so you save both time and effort.
